Wizz Air is continuing to significantly expand its operations from Pristina, with the low cost carrier scheduling five new routes for launch this December and its second based aircraft. The airline will introduce services to Berlin, Hahn, Hamburg, Malmo and Trieste, further strengthening its position at Pristina Airport just weeks after announcing the new base in the city, complemented by the introduction of three routes. Flights between Pristina and Berlin will commence on December 14 and operate three times per week. Services to Hahn will launch on the same day and run four times weekly. The following day, December 15, Wizz Air will introduce four weekly flights to Hamburg and three weekly rotations to Malmo. Finally, the carrier will commence a two weekly service to Trieste on December 19. The latter will temporarily pause between January 10 and March 19, before resuming for the remainder of the season. The five new routes will add a further sixteen weekly departures from Pristina at the peak of the winter schedule. They come on top of Wizz Air’s previously announced major expansion in Pristina which includes the establishment of a base with a 239-seat Airbus A321neo aircraft from November. As part of that expansion, the airline is launching new services to Basel, Baden Baden and Charleroi, while increasing frequencies to Dortmund. With the latest additions, Wizz Air is set to grow its Pristina network to fourteen destinations. Alongside the newly announced services and those launching in November, the airline maintains flights from the city to London Luton, Bratislava, Milan Malpensa, Rome Fiumicino, Memmingen and Dortmund. Wizz Air has been rapidly increasing its presence in Pristina amid changes in the competitive landscape at the airport. During the first half of 2026, the airline operated approximately 1.400 flights and handled more than 304.000 passengers on its Pristina services.
