What we collect

• Nothing you type. BurnMonitor has no accounts, no forms that store data, and no comments. Search queries on the News page are sent to our server to run the search and are not stored with any identifier.
• Anonymous usage statistics via Vercel Analytics — cookieless, no personal identifiers, no cross-site tracking. Always on.
• Google Analytics (cookie-based) — only if you click “Accept” in the cookie banner. It records pages viewed, approximate location and device type. You can decline and the site works identically.
• Server logs — standard web server logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL) kept for a short period for security and debugging.

Cookies and local storage

• cookie-consent (browser local storage) — remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics cookies. No expiry; clear your site data to reset it.
• Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_*) — set only after consent. Retention per Google's policy.

Third parties

Hosting and cookieless analytics: Vercel. Optional analytics: Google. Token logos and news images are loaded from their original publishers, who may see your IP address when the image loads. We do not sell, rent or share personal data.

Your rights

Under GDPR and similar laws you can ask what data we hold about you, request its deletion, or withdraw consent at any time (clear your site data to reset the cookie banner). Write to us via the contact page.
